How can you link formulas across multiple Excel workbooks? Just as you can link multiple worksheets within a workbook, you can also link multiple workbooks together. In this training, we’ll look at how you can link data across multiple Excel workbooks to summarize data or compile information in a primary workbook. You do this by creating formulas in one workbook that refers to a cell range or a range name in another workbook. References to other workbooks are called external references. A workbook with the data is called a source workbook, and the workbook with the links is called the destination workbook. In this Excel training, you’ll learn how to:
• Easily build formulas to link data from one Excel workbook to another.
• Update data in a linked or source workbook.
• View and edit links within a workbook.
• Break links you no longer need in an Excel workbook.
These time-saving formula shortcuts and features are supported by Microsoft Excel 365, Excel 2019, Excel 2016, and Excel 2013. Discover more Microsoft Excel lessons and download a free handout keyboard shortcuts at https://TheSoftwarePro.com/Excel. Software Productivity is Only a Click Away! ™
