We are fortunate to have interviewed Mr. Saravanan P, the Managing Director of Solid Performers Pvt. Ltd. and know about his mission, vision and journey so far.

Firstly, a warm welcome from SoftwareSuggest Mr. Saravanan; our readers are eager to know about your & SolidPerformer’s journey so far. So tell us, how did it all start?

It all started when we needed a CRM to manage our business six years ago. We scouted for multiple other CRM’s and found one or the other disadvantages in terms of features, Customization, UI, cost, etc. Since we were making web applications then, we thought of making a small application for our own which serves our purpose. We built a small application for ourselves, and during meetings with our clients, we started showing this application as a demo. They enjoyed the demo and wanted to start using it with additional customization, which suited their business need. We built it as a stand-alone application for individual companies. But when our client base increased, it was difficult to manage multiple individual applications and provide regular updates. So, we brought everything under a single platform (solidperformers.com) to handle multiple functions.

How did the idea of SolidPerformers originate? What was the driving force behind the inception of SolidPerformers?

With the increased client base, it was difficult to manage individual applications for every company and provide regular updates to all the companies. And it was difficult to establish a brand name since our clients were using it under different names of their own company. Also, they were facing difficulty in managing their hosting, server load, and data backup. So, we upgraded our platform to a cloud solution with which we brought all our clients under one platform. It served as a solution for all our needs.

How has Covid-19 impacted your business, and what is your strategy moving forward in the new normal?

We learned a lot during this crisis, and we are also helping our clients in all possible ways to overcome this situation. Since many of the companies are going for Work from Home options, we are working on helping the companies in terms of collecting as much data possible to evaluate an employee easily though they are working completely remote.

Tell us about the biggest learning you have gained from your journey so far.

Every business is different, and if we need to sustain it in the long run, our solution has to be completely flexible and can be customized. If we can automate this complete process, then there will be nothing like that. 

What would you advise and suggest to the young entrepreneurs and other aspirants in the industry? 

Start Young and learn as much as possible about the business before starting. This will reduce the greater possibility of business losses.

What is the most interesting thing about your job? 

Understanding and providing solutions for different categories of businesses to manage data in a simple & efficient way

Are there any ideological principles that your organization follows to maintain the brand value?

As of today’s scenario, many startups and mid-sized companies are not using CRM for multiple reasons. We are trying to provide the best solution which will make them start using the application. This will benefit them from different perspectives in the long run.

Considering the pace at which the SaaS market is growing, how important is it to keep innovating to stay in the game?

It is very important to keep innovating to stay in the game. If we keep listening to the new requirements of our clients regularly, then innovation will come automatically.

What is your vision and plan for taking SolidPerformers to greater heights in the next five years? 

To add a lot of automation and AI to the CRM will benefit our clients in various ways. Also, we are already spreading our wings in terms of Support Ticket Management and Project Management, which will be a part of the existing solution. This will make our CRM an all in one solution for their complete business need. 

Apart from this, we are also helping our clients with detailed analytics in terms of various criteria that will boost their business.

How would you define “a successful product”?

If a product can make the user/customer of the product happy in terms of various parameters defined by the user, then it is a successful product.

What exciting is coming up from your side in 2020?

By January 2021, we are coming up with high-end customization of modules that will help our clients to create a new module on their own & link it with the existing modules based on their business requirements.
