Marc Chan’s outstanding leadership helps RingCentral China’s growth in the post-covid era

Marc Chan, who is currently General Manager of RingCentral China, has more than 20 years of experience in promoting innovation, empowering customers, and driving growth in the enterprise software industry, focusing on North America, Asia Pacific, and Greater China markets. He has achieved excellence in digital transformation, corporate management, and leadership development. Prior to joining RingCentral, Marc served as the Global Vice President of SAP, helping many Fortune 500 companies successfully implement digital transformation.

RingCentral is widely known in the unified communications industry and has been listed as a leader in the Gartner UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Magic Quadrant report worldwide for the seventh year in a row.  Under the leadership of Marc, RingCentral China has successfully transformed into a post-COVID hybrid workplace. A transformation that helped the company to re-think a more collaborative work model without physical limitations.

Attracting the right talent is always challenging but it’s even tougher in a hot jobs market like China. The hybrid work model makes RingCentral China even more attractive as an employer and removes the geographical restrictions on local talent acquisition. With the hybrid work model, the company’s ability to mitigate risks has been significantly enhanced. Although RingCentral China has been facing the same challenges as other companies over the past 18 months, the team still managed to deliver excellent performance and foster a higher degree of employee engagement.  The company was named one of the Best Companies to Work For in Asia in both 2019 and 2020 and also was named China’s Healthiest Workplace for 2020 and 2021 by Mercer China.  In September 2021, RingCentral China employees participated in the Great Place to Work® Trust Index survey—an anonymous, candid survey of company culture, and 99% of them called RingCentral “a great place to work.” RingCentral China is creating an inclusive, dynamic culture where people of all different backgrounds and skill sets can do the best work of their lives.

Marc Chan believes that the success of employees is the success of the company. And the hybrid work model is one of the best changes  in the post-covid period. It helps employees establish a personalized working style.  The “hybrid work model” is still rare in China, but it is being rapidly adopted around the world.
